House Bill 602 PASSES
On April 29, 2010 Governor Ed Rendell signed HB602 into law. PA Act No. 19
This will allow Expanded Function Dental Assistants to perform coronal polishing, give fluoride treatments and take impressions for athletic appliances. It also creates a seat on the PA State Board of Dentistry for an EFDA and another dentist . The Pennsylvania Dental Assistants Association sends a representative to all State Board of Dentistry meetings. Updated information will be posted on the PDAA website www.padentalassistants.org as it becomes available. Thank you to all the assistants who wrote their Senators asking for the support of this bill.

PDAA Fall Meeting
The Fall meeting of the PDAA will take place October 29, 2010 at Benco Dental's new showroom in Pittston. Both PDAA 2010 meetings are taking place in Northeast PA. Show your support of the PDAA by attending these meetings in our own backyard.

The Northeast Pennsylvania Dental Assistant Society website was created to publicize our association, keep members informed, and attract a broader audience. We'll use this site to get the word out about our organization and create a better sense of community among our members.
